Frequently Asked Questions

Purchase and Warranty

  • Where can I purchase one of your watches?

All of our watches are available exclusively from us. If you would like to place an order, join us at one of our client events or contact our client service team based in New York.

  • How long will it take to receive my watch after placing an order?

All of our watches are assembled by hand to each client’s specifications at our workshop in St-Sulpice, Val-de-Travers, Switzerland. We can often complete delivery in about 8 weeks, but some orders may take longer depending on the requirements. We will confirm the expected delivery date when you make your purchase and provide regular updates so you can track the progress of your order.

  • Where can I see the specifications for your watches?

We invite you to download one of our brochures which contain the complete specifications for the watch and movement.

  • Are your watches water resistant?

Yes, our watches are water resistant to 3 atm (about 30 meters), which means that they will handle a little rain or a splash of water but are generally best kept dry. We recommend taking the watch off in the shower or while swimming. You definitely should not wear the watch while snorkeling or diving.

  • How do I ensure the authenticity of one of your watches?

For the T-01 First Edition, each watch comes with a certificate of origin with a unique serial number that is also engraved on a number plate within the movement itself. The certificate of origin and serial number can be checked against our records to prove its authenticity.

  • How long is the warranty for your watches?

We guarantee our watches for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Your watch comes with a warranty card that is signed and dated by us, and the warranty is described in full in the owner’s manual. All servicing and repairs must be carried out exclusively by us at our workshops in Switzerland.

Daily Care and Use

  • What should I do to take care of my watch on a regular basis?

Here are a few tips. Wind your watch regularly to keep the movement components lubricated, even if you are not planning on wearing it. Put your watch on and take it off over your bed so that you avoid any risk of dropping it on the floor and damaging it. Clean it only with the soft microfiber cloth provided in your watch box, and if necessary, a little distilled water. Avoid magnetic fields (e.g. electronics), exposure to chemicals, lotions and perfumes, and extremes of heat and cold.

  • Can I wear my watch while swimming or in the shower?

We recommend taking your watch off in the shower or while swimming. Our watches are water resistant to 3 atm (about 30 meters), which means that they will handle a little rain or a splash of water but are generally best kept dry. Definitely do not wear the watch while snorkeling or diving.

  • Can I play sports with my watch on?

We strongly recommend taking the watch off during any activity that will cause strong vibrations or shocks, such as golf or tennis. These shocks may damage the mechanism or components.

Maintenance Service

  • How often do I need to service my watch?

We recommend that you have your watch fully serviced every 3 to 4 years. Our watches are made to the highest quality standards, sealed against water and dust, and designed to last for many generations given proper maintenance and care. However, they are also high-precision mechanical machines with many tiny components, some moving at high-speed every hour of the day. And just like all machines, they require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and to preserve their value over the long term.

  • Where can I get maintenance service for my watch?

All service and repairs for our watches are performed exclusively by us at our workshops in Switzerland. Please contact us to arrange a maintenance service for your watch.

  • What does a maintenance service consist of?

We start with a diagnosis and assessment of the condition of your watch once it arrives at our workshops, and then send you a customized proposal for your approval before beginning any service work.
A full service involves carefully removing the movement from its case, disassembling the movement, examining, cleaning and testing all the components, and applying fresh oil throughout the mechanism. We will also replace worn parts and update components so that you benefit from the latest technical improvements.
We remove and polish the hands, clean the sapphire crystals on the dial and watch back, and buff and re-polish the case and buckle according to your instructions. Then we re-assemble and re-case the movement, poise the balance wheel and regulate the mechanism for timing accuracy and optimal performance. We replace the water-resistant seals and perform a full range of tests, including timing accuracy, water resistance, and functional mechanisms. Lastly, we conduct a careful visual inspection.

  • What testing do you perform?

During maintenance service we perform the same battery of tests that were conducted when the watch was originally made. This includes testing the timing accuracy in all positions, water resistance, and the performance of functional mechanisms such as winding and setting. We also give it a thorough visual inspection.

  • How long does it take for a complete maintenance service?

A complete maintenance service usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks. We will send you a proposal with the expected completion date before beginning the maintenance work.

  • How much does maintenance service cost?

Before we begin any work, we perform a full diagnosis and assessment of the condition of your watch once it arrives at our workshops. We will send you a proposal and quote for your approval before beginning the maintenance service.

  • Do you provide a warranty for your service work?

Yes, we guarantee our service work for a period of 1 year.
